The tourist organization from Kolašin, with the support of the Municipality of Kolašin, the local NGO "Natura", the Red Cross, the Health Center and the Mountaineering Clubs "Bjelasica" and "Gorštak" organized the sixth "Sinjajevinski Marathon", a tourist event of crossing our largest mountain on skis.
A unique undertaking is the realization of the idea of the far-known Kolasin resident Danijel Vincek - to restore the once prestigious ski event "Sinjajevinski sector", the work of General Danilo Jauković, and to preserve the memory of the "Sinjajevinski front", the famous epic of the NOB, but also to preserve from oblivion the tracks Skiers from Žabljak and Kolasin passed by in order to knightly fight for the primacy of the best in Montenegrin skiing on Bjelasica or Durmitor.
On Saturday morning in Gornji Lipovo, at the end of the winter tourist season, 15 people from Kolasin put on skis and another seven followed them on snowmobiles.
"We had a beautiful day and all the conditions for the event to succeed. This was followed by a climb to Vratlo, then Previja, Katuna, Pekovića Katuna, kilometers of hills and valleys all the way to Novaković near Žabljak, where a bus waited for us and took us to the "Lovac" hotel.
We dedicated the entire Saturday and the 38 kilometers traveled to accomplishing this mission and completed it successfully, to our overall satisfaction, says one of the organizers of the marathon and a member of PK "Bjelasica" Đoko Đinović.
They were escorted from Gornji Lipov and at the "Lovac" hotel in Žabljak, together with their colleague from Žabljak, Vanja Krgović Šarović, were welcomed by the director of TO Kolašin, Marija Brajović.
Vanja Krgović Šarović considers the idea of tourism linking these two cities excellent.
