This year, the public company Morsko dobro (JPMD) from Budva will invest several hundred thousand euros in the development of the coast and nature conservation in the Municipality of Tivat.
Most of the money is planned for the continuation of the arrangement and valorization of the protected Solila nature reserve in Tivat, so JPMD will allocate 15.000 euros for the preparation of project documentation for the regulation of canals and watercourses, or 5.000 for the revision of that project.
30.000 euros are planned for the regular arrangement and maintenance of the reserve.
5.000 euros should be earmarked for the completion of the main renovation project of the Opatovo wharf, as well as for the development of the main project for the arrangement of stormwater drainage channels in the Bonići settlement.
Performing works on that channel will cost another 35.000 euros.
Several thousand euros will also be set aside for the installation of ramps for access to the sea for people with disabilities at several Tivat bathing areas.
The purchase of a water level meter in Solili will cost one thousand euros.
An amount of 150 euros is planned for the rehabilitation of the concrete beach in front of the Kamelija hotel in Donja Lastva, measuring 10 by 30.000 meters, and the filling of the small pebble beach between it and the Waikiki swimming pool.
10.000 euros will be spent for the mandatory annual ecological monitoring of Solil.
JPMD will allocate 15.000 euros for the preparation of the Elaboration/Study of natural conditions for the formation of moorings on buoys in the area of the Tivat and Budva bays".
The plan is to install buoys in certain parts of the Tivat and Budva water areas to which, under commercial conditions, vessels will be moored.
The analysis that would be included in this study refers to the geological composition of the seabed, bathymetric recording of parts of the water area intended for placement of buoys, as well as the investigation of flora and fauna on those parts of the bottom, with a special emphasis on mapping the areas under the protected species of sea grass Posidonia oceanica.
Filling the beaches will cost 80.000 euros
Although ecologists have great reservations about this way of dealing with the coastal water area, JPMD intends to continue this year the controversial practice of "pre-Szenon filling of beaches" and bathing areas in Boka Kotorska with tens of thousands of cubic meters of sand. 80.000 euros will be allocated for this this year.
During this year, JPMD plans to complete several investments started last year in the area of Tivat - 150.000 euros worth of participation in the construction of the first phase of the coastal promenade in Krašići, 22.500 euros worth of works on the arrangement of walkways, bridges and embankments in Solili and the completion of project documentation, worth 7.000 euros, for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the pier in Donja Lastva.
