A citizens' assembly was held in Grblje because of the state's intention to "pull" the route of the gas pipeline from Azerbaijan through the heart of Boka.

The citizens who live in the area of ​​Grblje, Krtola and Luštica are not against the construction of the gas pipeline, but they believe that the offered route, which is planned for the gas pipeline, must not be adopted as the route for the development of the main project, but another solution must be offered - it was unanimously concluded at the Assembly of citizens who gathered over 300 residents of Grblje, Krtol and Luštica in Radanovići.

In the focus of attention of the meeting, which was attended by the mayors of Kotor and Budva Vladimir Jokić and Dragan Krapović (Democrats), the president of the SO Kotor Dragica Perović (DSS) and the vice-president of the Municipality of Tivat Siniša Kusovac (DPS), was the preliminarily planned route of the future Adriatic Ionian Gas Pipeline (IAP) ) from Azerbaijan towards Western Europe, which the authorities from the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism planned in principle through the very "heart" of Boka Kotorska and included it in the draft Spatial Plan of special purpose for the coastal area.

The IAP should pass through Boka on the stretch from Jaz to Ros - after it "comes out" of the sea in Trsteno bay in Donji Grblje, the gas pipeline will be slowly carried overland through Donji Grbalj and Radanoviće, to Krtol. It is envisaged that the gas pipeline will then go through Đurašević, through the middle of Radovići and through Gošić, where the distribution plant for Herceg Novi is to be built, towards Gornji Krašići, enter the sea near Cape Dobreč and continue on to Croatia.

After informing the participants of the meeting about everything that the state has done so far in preparation for that project, the president of the Ministry of Health of Krtoli, Ivan Starčević, warned that the route planned in this way will lead to the emigration of part of the population of Grblje, Krtol and Luštica, the devastation of their properties due to the protective corridor around the 400-meter-wide pipe. and further violation of the so-called the buffer zone of the UNESCO protected area in Boka, as well as the open space that was leased to the company Luštica Development for the purpose of building a new tourist town worth one billion euros, Luštica Bay.

Starčević warned that the Spatial Plan of Montenegro does not envisage the construction of a gas pipeline along this route, nor does the PUP of Tivat. All the participants in the discussion agreed with him, and for their views they requested and received the support of representatives of three local administrations.

"Our intention is not to move out and leave our homes, but to expand them, enrich them and create greater opportunities and better conditions for our lives and the lives of our children. The construction of a gas pipeline on the proposed route would make all of this impossible for us, and that is why we demand that the management of the municipalities of Kotor, Tivat, Herceg Novi and Budva respect our conclusions and, through the available institutions of the system, do everything to prevent the proposed route from being adopted as the main project of the IAP", it was concluded on meeting with criticism of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Sustainable Development of Tourism that their representatives, although invited, did not appear at the assembly of citizens.

Zbor requested that the state abandon the proposed route, which it claims is "cheaper and easier to build", and that the gas pipeline bypass Boka in such a way that it would be laid on the seabed in front of Paštrovići, Grblje and Luštica from Bar to the border with Croatia.

"We also prove with this that we care about every part of the Municipality of Kotor and that we will not "go to Podgorica for our opinion", but we will make decisions here about what concerns us, and then inform Podgiruica about it", said the President of the Kotor Parliament Dragica Perovic. Locals expressed reservations about the state's intention to reconstruct the 16-km route of the Adriatic Highway through Grbalj into a 24-meter-wide corridor boulevard, but the representatives of all three municipalities pointed out that this project is necessary for everyone and that it must be implemented while finding the best measures of common interest with the inhabitants of Grblje.

The mayors of Budva and Kotor, Krapović and Jokić, supported the demands of Grblajn to urgently stop the construction of the zip-line over the most attractive Jaz beach here, which the company "Zip Line Montenegro" from Žabljak is trying to build with controversially issued and incomplete documents.

"There won't be a zip line on Jaz, and I can promise you that because there is no logical or legal basis for such a project. We will never give permission for that and we will insist that the inspection demolish the already illegally started facilities of the starting station of the cable car, which is on our territory in Prijevor." - said Krapović, to which his Kotor colleague Jokić added that "Zip Line will not even have an arrival station" which is on the territory of that municipality on the way to Trsten.
