Saša Boreta from Budva, one of those convicted for the murder of high-ranking police official Slavoljub Šćekić, and his wife Marina, submitted to the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism a request for the issuance of urban planning and technical conditions for the reconstruction of business premises in the "Podkošljun" business center, into a four-star hotel .
This is stated in the request signed by Marina Boreta.
She submitted the request on December 25 in Podgorica, which the relevant ministry received on January 18, after which it was published on the official website of the relevant ministry.
Boreta, who is serving a 30-year prison sentence, through his wife, to whom he gave a power of attorney, submitted to the Budva Secretariat for Urban Planning a request for the extension of the construction permit, which was issued to him by that municipal service at the end of 2012, at the end of November last year.
The Budva secretariat refused to extend Boreta's permit, although he stated in his explanation that he was unable to start construction due to valid reasons.
The municipality of Budva issued Boreta, who was still in Spuška prison at the time, a building permit for the addition and upgrade of part of the "Potkošljun" business center, which he owns, at the entrance to Budva near the big roundabout.
Boreta was then approved for the extension and upgrading of the ground floor, two floors and the attic with a total gross construction area of 539 square meters.
This is also provided for in the current Detailed Urban Plan "Potkošljun", which is currently being amended and supplemented.
The permit covers plots 1234/1 and 1234/9 KO Budva, on which, according to the cadastral records of the Real Estate Administration, Boreta is the owner of the first floor with a total area of 120 square meters, while the ground floor of 162 square meters and the yard of 67 square meters are the property of his wife Marina Boreta.
For many years, these business premises housed a casino and a restaurant.
