Podgorica: There is no "Spider", it is parked wherever anyone arrives

The "spider" has not been driving on the streets of Podgorica for several days, and the officials of the Municipal Inspection do not sanction illegally parked drivers.

Since the beginning of 2017, the operation of special motor vehicles, the "spider", is under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Inspection. However, the inspection currently has no legal authority to move illegally parked vehicles.

Previously, the "spider" was under the jurisdiction of the city Secretariat for Communal Affairs and Traffic, however, after the separation of the Communal Inspection from the Secretariat, the vehicles were entrusted to the inspection.

Although "Vijesti" did not receive an answer from the capital today to the question of when the normalization of the work of the "spider" is expected, it is expected that the possibilities for this will be created after the harmonization of the legal acts that will entrust the competences of the "spider" to the inspection.

In the city center these days there is an evident increase in crowding due to illegally parked cars, whose owners do not choose where to leave them.

Although it is possible to see official vehicles of the Municipal Inspection patrolling the city, violations are frequent, and it is not an unusual sight to see several vehicles parked on both sides of narrow streets, such as those found in the city center.
