EA buys Codemasters

A month ago, the British developer Codemasters was about to sign with the publisher Take Two Interactive, the owner of the development studios 2K and Rockstar, worth a little less than a billion dollars.

However, nothing will come of the work, because the gaming giant Electronic Arts entered the game and grabbed Codemasters in front of Take Two for a few thousand more, that is, for 1,2 billion dollars, EA's board of directors confirmed.

So it is likely that EA will use Codemasters' drive to work on the return of the iconic "Need for Speed" franchise.
