Twitter users reported problems after Mask introduced new measures

Thousands of users complained that they had problems accessing the social platform Twitter after the new rules introduced by its owner Elon Musk.

Mask has limited most users to viewing 600 tweets a day in order, he says, to try to prevent unauthorized extraction of potentially valuable data from the site.

The restriction decision went into effect on Saturday, which is why more than 7.500 people at one point reported having problems using the social platform.

Although a relatively small number of Twitter's more than 200 million users worldwide have been suspended, the prevalence of the problem has led to the creation of a new hashtag #TwitterDown due to the new measures.

The restrictions could lead to users being locked out of Twitter a day after viewing several hundred tweets.
