The president of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) Andrija Mandić congratulated Miloš Vučević on his election as the new president of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).
"Your party has certainly chosen one of the most capable people as the new president and has shown why it represents one of the most powerful political organizations in Europe," said Mandić, as NSD said in a statement.
Vučević will succeed the former president of the party and the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, at the head of the SNS.
"I am convinced that you will do great things both for your party and for the members and sympathizers of SNS, but also for all the citizens of the Republic of Serbia," added Mandić.

He pointed out that he expects the cooperation between the "two sister parties" to further improve.
"Let's work on the closest relations between Montenegro and Serbia and within the Serbian people. As President of the SNS, you are succeeding Aleksandar Vučić, for whom, both as Prime Minister and President of Serbia, cooperation, care and support for Serbs in the region was of particular importance. Knowing you personally for many years, I have no doubt that this issue will be very high on the list of state priorities for you as well," Mandić believes.
