The plan is to build a new facility for the accommodation of 52 users at the Grabovac Elderly Home in Risana, on the site of the current "H" pavilion, said Minister of Labor and Social Welfare in technical mandate Admir Adrović.

Adrović, at the ceremonial academy marking the institution's 75 years of operation, announced that the Ministry will participate in the total construction costs, as well as that the facility will be built according to all modern standards of care for elderly citizens.

As announced by his department on Facebook, Adrović is especially grateful to the staff who selflessly worked in extremely difficult conditions during the coronavirus pandemic.

"This is an institution with decades of tradition and is an example of good practice in caring for the elderly, both in Montenegro and in the region. I will make sure that employees in the field of social and child protection are recognized by society in an adequate way," said Adrović.

As announced by the Ministry, that institution currently provides accommodation for 265 users who are cared for by 119 employees.
