DPS Pljevlja: Vraneš and associates tried to belittle the victims and values ​​of anti-fascism with their performance

The Municipal Committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Pljevlja announced that the President of the Municipality of Pljevlja Darim Vraneš and his associates "with their performance tried to belittle the victims and values ​​of anti-fascism, equating the victims and their criminals in an attempt to revise the history of which the overwhelming majority of Pljevlja are proud". .

Today, Vraneš laid flowers and lit candles at the monument to those who fell in the fight against fascism on Stražica, on the occasion of the Pljevlja Municipality Day on November 20.

Previously, Vraneš lit candles only twenty meters from the monument on Stražica, at the place of the pit where, according to some historians and politicians, the communists threw 25 fighters from Pljevlja who fought for the king and the fatherland.

"On the day when Pljevlja was freed from fascism, we had the opportunity to once again witness the desecration of the monument to the fallen soldiers on Stražica by local revisionists and followers of the Queens movement. died in the Second World War, the Mayor of the Municipality and his associates appeared shyly and out of nowhere, and with their performance tried to belittle the victims and the values ​​of anti-fascism, equating the victims and their criminals in an attempt to revise the history of which the overwhelming majority of Pljevlja are proud," he writes. in the announcement of OO DPS Pljevlja.

They add that "the peace and tranquility of those who gave their lives for our freedom were once again violated by those who would divide the victims into 'ours' and 'theirs'".

"Because how else can you interpret paying homage with mononational and monoreligious symbols, when you know that side by side, with a rifle in hand and a pentacle on their head, fighters of all religions and nations marched into battle and died singing with one common goal - the liberation of Pljevlja from the occupiers and fascists. That is why we call on the prosecution to finally stand in the way of these warmongers and revisionists so that it is not too late. And we say to all those who are playing with the values ​​of anti-fascism - No pasaran (It will not pass)", reads the announcement of OO DPS Pljevlja.
