The Ministry of Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North (MERT) reported to the Police Directorate the misuse of the interactive screen - totem in front of the Capital City building, the Directorate for Tourism Development and Development of Tourism Regulations announced.

On the occasion of the publication of explicit video content on an interactive screen in the center of Podgorica, the Directorate said that they were surprised by the fact that unknown perpetrators misused the totem in such a way.

As they stated, it damages their image and that of other related institutions, such as the Capital and the local tourism organization.

The announcement states that, as an institution responsible for tourism, through the procurement of totems, they aimed to promote the destination, help tourists identify attractive locations in Podgorica and throughout Montenegro.

"The Ministry, as the responsible institution, reported this case to the Police Directorate, and the process of discovering the perpetrators of this crime is ongoing," the statement said.

As it is added, regardless of the inconvenience that happened, activities to better protect the content will be carried out in the following days, and the totem will be put into operation as soon as possible, in order to have its planned function.

The Directorate said that three interactive screens were acquired through the project "Due Mari - Next Generation Tourism Development", and within the program INTERREG IPA CBC Italy - Albania - Montenegro 2014-2020.

As they said, apart from Podgorica, the local tourist organizations of Kolašin and Bar also got an interactive screen.

"And for the purpose of promoting the tourist offer of our destination. The purchase of interactive screens was realized through Crossmedia Agency from Podgorica," the announcement says.
