The president of the Boxing Association of Montenegro (BSCG), Aleksandar Klemenko, congratulated Bojana Gojković on everything she showed at the Olympic Games in Paris.
Yesterday, in the first round of the boxing tournament at the Olympic Games, Bojana Gojković was defeated by Hsiao-Wen Huang from Taipei.
"Yesterday, our boxer Bojana Gojković opened the boxing tournament at the Olympic Games in Paris by the will of the draw. She was defeated by Huang Hsiao-Wen from Taipei. As we expected, the fight was not easy, because she is a very experienced and successful opponent, who is a two-time world champion and medalist at the previous Olympic Games in Tokyo. It was at least a very even competition between a young talented boxer and one of the most renowned boxers in this weight category. In addition, our Bojana showed a high level of boxing, an excellent psycho - physical fitness and unwavering desire to win. Experts who watched the match gave ambiguous comments on its result, but the fact remains that the judges gave an advantage to the renowned boxer from Taipei and we have to accept this defeat and apologize to our many fans for not being able to fulfill their hopes and expectations," said Klemenko.
