After Weymouth 2012, Marina de Gloria 2016 and Enoshima 2021, it's time for the challenges in Marseille.
Mostly far from the epicenter of the Olympic Games, Montenegrin sailor Milivoj Dukić sought glory, and it will be the same now in the south of France.
There are only two days left until his fourth appearance at the Games, and it seems that the boy from Herceg Novi is in the right mood waiting for the battles in the Mediterranean Sea.
"The start of the competition is getting closer, the excitement is growing, and as I have said many times - we trained quite well and used the preparation period properly", said Dukić from Provence.
He finished the first Games in the "laser" class in 30th place, four years later he was 29th, and in Japan he reached 17th position and won one of the stages. Can he reach the best result in the French port?
"Mentally and physically, I feel quite good and somewhat dominant - I hope I will use it in the right way," emphasized Dukić.
In addition, another trump card could be on his side...
"Yes, I think that the experience I gained at the previous Games, including Tokyo, will mean a lot to me. I will try to represent myself, my family and Montenegro in a dignified way," said Dukić.
His coach Ilko Klakor is satisfied with how the preparations for the Olympic Games went.
"They are still ongoing, and so far Milivoje and I have done a very good part of the work, everything is going according to plan and we are satisfied - we hope that it will be the same in the regatta", Klakor pointed out.
Weather conditions could affect the results, but...
"The forecast is unstable, it changes every day, but that shouldn't affect us - we are preparing for all conditions and believe that everything will be in the best order," concluded Klakor.
