Two-time Olympic gold medalist, British tennis player Andy Murray, has withdrawn from singles competition at the Paris Olympics, and will compete only in doubles with Dan Evans.
"Training with Dan has been great and we're playing really well together. I can't wait to get started and play for Great Britain again," said Murray, who previously announced the Olympics would be his final tennis competition.
Murray (37) won gold twice at the Olympic Games - in 2012 and 2016, and in 2012 he also won silver in mixed doubles.
The former number one racket in the world, he is currently ranked 121st on the ATP list, and in his career he has won 46 titles, the most important of which are Wimbledon (2013, 2016) and the US Open (2012).
