Rainy July 26, 21.15:19 p.m. and Montenegrin athletes, a total of 18 of them, "parade" on the Seine on a boat - this is a picture that has given another stamp to the Olympic history of our country, which has been going on for XNUMX years.

That's how Paris got to know our country and its flag, tennis players held it high and proud Danka Kovinic and a sailor Milivoj Dukić, after debuting in Beijing in 2008, then London in 2012, Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and Tokyo three years ago.

There were certainly more spectacular, probably better-designed opening ceremonies of the Games than what was seen last night in the City of Light, but even if all this was on a higher level - would it be enough when it is pouring down rain towards the very end of the seventh month, in the height of summer? ? This is how athletes, journalists, and tens of thousands of sports fans along the river at one point "cheered" for the ceremony to last as short as possible instead of enjoying the spectacle.

Although, precipitation was announced days ago, so perhaps they gave the whole event a more romantic note. This is the first Games in history that the ceremony was separated from the stadium and Paris succeeded - it will be remembered.

The rain and just a little more than 20 degrees Celsius somewhat affected the overall impression, which, however, did not disturb anyone's energy before the participation of our athletes, the first of whom will be a female boxer Bojana Gojković which is awaiting its debut at the Olympic Games today from 15.30:XNUMX p.m.

The Games can officially begin, the opening ceremony is something that will be talked about for the next two or three days, and then it will wait until the first one - that is in 2028 at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, where "history" is already being announced. .

Paris offered something that could not be seen until now. The parade of boats with about 10 athletes started under the Osterlic bridge, and it sailed along the Seine for about six kilometers. It passed under the famous bridges, the Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Louvre could be seen, and the end of the parade was marked when the athletes reached the Trocadero, which is located opposite the Eiffel Tower.

The official part was held there, and then the lighting of the Olympic flame. Everything lasted long into the night...

The organizer, of course, also thought of all those who were in Paris last night and could not attend the opening ceremony, so around 100 large screens were set up around the city on which the live broadcast could be watched.

The program lasted practically the whole day, and the largest delegation in Paris, the delegation of the United States of America, numbering 593 sportsmen and women, set sail just before 22 p.m. - the flag was carried by the legendary basketball player LeBron James and a young tennis player Koko Goff.
