The man who won 22 Grand Slam titles and the guy who already has four at the age of 21 - together on the legendary "Filip Shatrier"...
Rafael Nadal and Karlos Alkaras, probably the most attractive doubles ever, also called "Nadalkaras", jumped the first hurdle at the Olympic Games in Paris.
The Spanish supertandem, which is slowly getting used to playing in doubles, was better than Argentinian Maximo Gonzalez Andres Molteni in the first round - 7:6 (4), 6:4.
At the start of the first set, both pairs made a break, and then until the end of that part, we saw equal tennis, so everything was decided in a tie-break.
Alkaras made a mini-break with the help of the net for 4:3, and Rafa led the Spaniards to 7:4 with a super kick.
The break came at the start of the second set, and the Argentines quickly reached 3:0. However, Nadal and Alkaras came back immediately, and they reached the key break after the return of the younger champions (5:4).
In the next game, to Nadal's serve, Alkaras reacted brilliantly at the net and ended the story.
