The Brazilian basketball player, Marcelinho Huertas, decided to end his representative career, after his selection was eliminated from the Olympic Games.
Last night, Uertas played his last game in Brazil's jersey - it was in the loss to the USA (122:87) in the quarterfinals of the Games.
Uertas (41) was the oldest basketball player at the Games, and in Paris he averaged 8,8 points, along with five assists.
He started his national team career in 2005 - he participated in the Olympic Games three times, and was a participant in the Mundobasket five times.
Uertas plays for Tenerife, and recently extended his contract with that club until 2026.
