The captain of the Serbian basketball team, Bogdan Bogdanović, said today after winning the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Paris that his team showed character, unity and a winning mentality.
"I am overjoyed, my mother. It was difficult to recover and get up at seven o'clock, we slept poorly, after the semi-final with the USA. We showed character, unity and a winning mentality. I am grateful to the fans in Paris and those who followed us through the small screen. I'm grateful to be a part of this team and that we have such a professional staff. This is one of the best teams I've played in," said Bogdanović after the match.
Today, Serbia won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Paris, defeating Germany with 93:83.
"When there is a good group, then everything is easy. We are all equal and I am grateful to all the guys... Kudos to us," added Bogdanović.

"The impressions are phenomenal, we deserved this. Especially after the semi-final. We managed to pull ourselves together and take what was ours," said Serbian national team member Filip Petrushev.
"We knew we deserved at least bronze, maybe it's better that we played in 11, so that we don't think so much about the semi-finals. We paid back the Germans for the defeat in the final of the World Cup in Manila. It's a privilege to play with these players, to be with all the coaches and members of the professional staff," Petrushev added.
Serbian playmaker Vasilije Micić said that the most important thing is that the medal was won, and that he "doesn't care" about "his personal achievement and performance".
"I am happy that I helped the team. I always give my best, sometimes I play worse, sometimes better, but I always give my best. Especially when I play for Serbia. For me personally, this is the greatest success. The bronze shines with a golden glow. I am a man who has a problem with expression, but believe me, it means a lot to me," Micić said.
