The closing ceremony of the Olympic Games (OI) will be held in Paris tonight, with the handover of the organization of the next Games to the new host Los Angeles and a spectacle at the Stade de France, which will most likely include the famous American actor Tom Cruise, French media reported.
Two weeks after the enthusiasm at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on the Seine, with bold scenes that were the subject of criticism from conservative politicians in the world and the extreme right in France itself, tonight there are high expectations for the ceremony at the Stade de France, which hosted the athletics competitions.
The artistic director of the opening and now closing ceremony of the Olympic Games, Toma Žoli, said that he wanted to make a "celebration of a divided humanity that has vibrated the same way every day since the beginning of the Games."
The ceremony, which starts around 19.30:23.30 and ends at 40:XNUMX, will be shorter than the opening ceremony, with the "return" of the athletes to the stadium and a XNUMX-minute spectacle directed by Žolij with the music of the groups "Air" (Air) and "Feniks" (Phoenix). .
This will be followed by speeches and the handover of the OI organization to Los Angeles, the host city of the next Summer Games in 2028.
An important moment of the ceremony will be the extinguishing of the Olympic torch, whose unusual shape and electric burner was accessible to citizens and tourists in the luxurious Tuileries Park near the Louvre Museum.
The opera piece "Records" will be performed. The word "records" was deliberately chosen because it also means "archive" in English. That piece will be a mixture of the past and a futuristic vision.
According to the American media, when there is a handover in Los Angeles, Cruise will appear in the style of the movie "Mission Impossible" with some acrobatics.
Media in the USA mentioned that the rapper Snoop Dogg, who carried the Olympic torch and was seen during the entire Games at certain competitions, will appear, often dressed like the athletes of that discipline.
The band "Red Hot Chili Peppers" and singer Billie Eilish are mentioned.
