The athlete Sifan Hasan won today the gold medal in the women's marathon at the Olympic Games in Paris.
The Ethiopian, who performs under the flag of the Netherlands, reached the gold with a result of 2:22,55 hours, which is also a new Olympic record.
This is Hasan's third medal at this year's Games, as she won bronze in the 5.000 and 10.000 meters, and her sixth Olympic medal in her career.
Tigst Asefa from Ethiopia won the silver medal with a time of 2:22,58 hours, and Helen Obiri from Kenya won the bronze medal with a result of 2:23,10 hours.
