From the special reporter "Vijesti"
Exactly 100 years, Paris waited to receive the organization of the Olympic Games. The anticipation is long over, the years of preparation have passed, and after the opening ceremony (which for some was spectacular, and for others exceeded the limits of taste) it seems that the host is still learning from his own mistakes.
Paris can definitely do better, regardless of the fact that it was announced that by the time the Games began, it had spent almost nine billion euros on the organization.
Organization is the basis for much smaller competitions than the OI, and in the City of Light it is at least at the very start - she failed.
That is why some Montenegrin journalists were late for the match of our boxer Bojan Gojković on Saturday, because at the main bus station, which is located right next to the press center, there was no transport to the "Paris Nord Arena" where Budvanka was fighting.
The explanation of why this was so was somewhat comical:
- There is no transport today, maybe there will be in the following days to that location - was the message of the kind, not particularly prepared volunteers.
And that was it. Unfortunately, Bojana was eliminated in the first round, so going to the same arena was no longer an option, but the impression remained - and it has been going on for five days - that everything is far from ideal.
However, everything is magical in one place - Roland Garros, where the Olympic tennis tournament is played. Such a complex - with so many grounds and an incredible "Marquee" that draws attention as much as the Parc des Princes or Saint Denis, should be visited by everyone who comes to Paris. He doesn't even have to be a tennis lover, but he must know one thing - after visiting Roland Garros, he will look at everything related to tennis differently.
Yesterday's day in Boulogne Forest, on the slopes of which the complex is located, was so special that it can hardly be repeated until the end of the Olympic tournament.
They were facing each other Rafael Nadal i Novak Đoković, the Serbian tennis player won smoothly (6:1, 6:4) to reach the round of XNUMX, but it was a match that represented something more than a game, as Rafa and Novak met perhaps for the last time, given that nearing the end of the career of the legendary Spaniard.
Djokovic did not lack support at the "Chatrije", but Nadal was and remains an icon at that stadium - he won Roland Garros as many as 14 times. in the stands, he obviously knows how to appreciate it...
Maybe it was the last dance, maybe there will be a few more, but if it's the end for Nadal - then at least he had it in his stadium, in front of his audience, and against one of the biggest rivals he had in his career.
