The women's pioneer volleyball team of Montenegro will participate in the first round of Zonal Qualifications for the U16 European Championship, which will be held from January 15 to 19 in Sofia. The selector of the women's U16 national team of Montenegro, Petar Koković, announced a wider list of 25 volleyball players.
In addition to Montenegro and the hosts Bulgaria, the selections of Turkey, Serbia, Greece and Romania will also participate in the championship.
"The first round of qualifications is played within the framework of zonal associations, and the winner of the tournament will win a direct place in the European Championship, while the remaining five national teams will play in the second round of qualifications, which is planned for the period from April 24 to 27. In the second round, the place in The European Championship will be won by a total of 11 selections - the two first-placed teams from five groups each, as well as the best third-placed national team," said the Association.
The European Championship for female pioneers, in the competition of volleyball players up to 16 years old (born in 2010 and younger), will be held from July 2 to 13, 2025 in Tirana (Albania) and Pristina (Kosovo), with the participation of the 16 best selections from the Old Continent.
