The Spaniard defeated the ninth player on the ATP list after two hours and four minutes.
Alkaras broke Muzeti's serve three times in the first set and easily took the lead, while the second saw two breaks on both sides before the tie-break.
Alcarras will play in the first Masters final of his career against Janik Siner, who eliminated Tommy Paul in three sets.
Janik celebrated after a turnaround - 1:6, 6:0, 6:3.
