Airports of Montenegro are the new gold sponsors of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee.
The contract on sponsorship for one year, worth 50 thousand euros, was signed by the executive director of Aerodrom Montenegro Danilo Orlandić and the president of COK Dušan Simonović.
"This is a one-year sponsorship. The general contract is up to Tokyo, but we make an annex to the contract every year, and I hope that we will have the opportunity to do so next year as well", specified Simonović.
Orlandić reminded that the Airports of Montenegro have long had successful cooperation with COK, which, as he stated, is the umbrella organization for all sports organizations and athletes in Montenegro.
"I believe that this is just another step in achieving better results at the Olympic Games and all other events that we jointly support. Also, I believe that Tokyo in 2020 will bring new medals for our country, and I believe that other business entities and the state will have a feeling for the needs of the COK," said Orlandić.
He assessed that, in the coming period, it is necessary to further strengthen the development of young athletes in Montenegro and give them, as he said, an even greater opportunity.
"The airports of Montenegro will invest even more in sports organizations and sports in Montenegro in the coming period," said Orlandić, who believes that "the state must do much more to free private and state-owned business entities from certain tax duties in order to , as he said, could invest more funds in sports and cultural events".
Speaking about the rights and obligations arising from the contract, Simonović said that they are precisely arranged.
"They mainly refer to the fact that it is our obligation to advertise the Airports of Montenegro at all activities, as we have done so far, to support their actions with the presence of our athletes and our personal presence and a number of other activities that we can do together as part of our activities ", explained Simonović, and pointed out that it is an obligation arising from the contract that COK takes two people from Montenegro Airport to the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The signing of the sponsorship contract was attended by handball player Ana Milačić and karate player Mario Hodžić, as well as golden Olympian Igor Vušurović.
