The current Olympic champion in figure skating, Alina Zagitova, was the first in the history of the new scoring system to break the 80-point mark for the short program. The Russian broke the world record at the Grand Prix Rostelkom Cup, collecting 80,78 points.
Zagitova was the world record holder even before today's program, since she got 79,93 points in Oberstdorf at the end of September.
She also holds records in the free program (158,50), but also in the sum of two programs (238,43).
According to the old scoring system, Zagitova was also the short program record holder with 82,92 points.
