The Cycling Association of Montenegro, the Montenegrin Association of Auto Moto Sports Clubs, the Savate Association of Montenegro and the Sambo Association of Montenegro have been deleted from the Register of Sports Organizations, the Ministry of Sports announced.

"Strengthened inspection supervision over the work of sports organizations, which the Ministry of Sports continuously initiates from the very beginning through the Directorate for Inspection Affairs, resulted in the deletion of four national associations from the Register of Sports Organizations, namely: the Cycling Association, the Montenegrin Association of Auto Moto Sports Clubs, the Savata Association and the Sambo Federation of Montenegro," the announcement states.

"Specifically, the Montenegrin Association of Auto Moto Sports Clubs has not been organizing a competition system since 2013, which is in accordance with the Law on Sports, a key obligation of national sports associations.

"The Savate Federation has also not implemented a competition system since its establishment, and there are no registered athletes, while the Sambo Federation does not have premises to work," the Ministry explained.

"Due to non-fulfillment of legal obligations, the Cycling Association of Montenegro was also deleted from the Register, and three more national sports associations are in the process of being processed: the Wrestling Association, the Bowling Association and the Kayaking Association," the announcement states.

"Based on several initiatives of the Ministry of Sports, sports inspectors also determined that the Judo Association of Montenegro and the Taekwondo Association of Montenegro did not harmonize the internal legal acts for the functioning of the association with the Law on Sports.

That is why we hereby invite the Judo and Taekwondo Federation to complete the obligation to harmonize internal acts with the Law on Sports within the given period, in accordance with the guidelines they received from the Ministry of Sports. Otherwise, administrative measures and actions will be implemented against them in accordance with the Law on Sports and the Law on Inspection Supervision," the statement said.

The Ministry stated that "the Directorate for Inspection Affairs in the part related to the inspection for sports, at the time of the establishment of the Ministry of Sports, functioned with only one inspector", so, as the report of the Directorate for Inspection Affairs in 2016 showed, due to of the poor "functioning of that segment of inspection supervision, only two fines in the amount of 42 euros were levied on thousands of sports organizations".

"Having this circumstance in mind, the Ministry of Sports proposed half a year ago to increase the number of inspectors for that area to four enforcers, which led to the specified concrete results," the Ministry of Sports announced.
