In the first match on the European stage as coach of Budućnost Volija, Luka Pavićević registered a defeat.
The people of Podgorica were defeated by Tranzon on their home field, so now the passage does not depend only on the "blues".
"In the first half, we had one or two individual downs, when we allowed Novica Veličković to make a 10:0 run, and then Dwight Hardy from the block to shoot by himself, which he punished. We had a hard time establishing the rhythm of the attack. "Trabzon was too strong for us at this moment, and it remains to be seen what and how much is possible in the last two rounds," said Pavićević.
"Blues" defender Nemanja Jaramaz still does not lose hope of going further.
"We gave our maximum at this moment. We weren't smart at times, we allowed ourselves to go down to minus 15. Later, with aggressive defense and fighting spirit, we managed to come back, but then we missed some shots. It remains for us to fight to the end, to try to win against Unix in the next round, no matter how difficult it seems now".
Novica Veličković created a lot of problems for the home team's tall players and was one of the most deserving of his team's triumph.
"I am glad that I played again in Podgorica, where the pitch is hot and where I have never been able to celebrate easily. This is a great victory for us and an announcement of getting out of the crisis after a bad start to the season. We had to win somewhere on the side, after we were defeated at home by Steaua".
Nenad Marković, coach of Tranzon, was not satisfied with the game in the last quarter.
"We played the match as we expected. Only the beginning and the end were not what they should have been. We punished Buducnost in defense, and we were preparing for such a game. We did what we wanted for most of the match, and it's not the first time this season that we lose the lead in the very end. "We didn't finish the game in the right way," concluded Marković.
