Serbian basketball player Bogdan Bogdanović will undergo minor surgery on the knee of his left leg, the Sacramento Kings announced.
Bogdanović felt discomfort in his knee during the match against Estonia in the World Cup qualifiers, and after an MRI it was determined that there was minor damage.
The ace of Kings renewed the knee injury he operated on after the end of the season, after which he took a break for about eight weeks, reminds B92.
The Sacramento guard then underwent a minor surgical intervention on the meniscus of his left knee, and the same is expected now. The Kings did not announce how much time off the Serbian player expects.
The operation, more precisely the artichoscopy of the knee, will be performed on Monday in New York, and it will be performed by doctor Riley Williams, the Kings announced.
This means that Bogdanović will certainly miss the preseason games, and probably the start of the NBA season, which starts on October 16.
Bogdanović and Bjelica were the only Serbian basketball players from the NBA who played in the second phase of the World Cup qualifiers in China in 2019.
