Just a day after sensationally losing the Israeli league title to Maccabi Haifa, leaders of Maccabi Tel Aviv have appointed a new team manager.
In question is the legendary Croatian basketball player Nikola Vujčić, who last season was the sports director and player of Split.
Vujčić will succeed Gur Šelef in that position.
From 2002 to 2008, Vujčić wore the jersey of Maccabi and during that time he won five Israeli championship titles (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007), four national cups (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006) and two Euroleagues ( 2004, 2005).
