The president of Igokea, Boris Spasojević, said that the decision on the possible cancellation of the final four of the ABA League in Laktaši will be made in the coming period.
"Coach Dragan Bajić's letter is a completely expected reaction and we at the club fully support it. The decision to cancel the end of the competition will be made in the coming period, but we at the club agree that it should definitely be cancelled," Spasojević told the Beta agency.
Spasojević said that he does not see the reason why the leaders of the regional league changed the rule that the champion from the regular part does not play in the most elite European club competition.
"I really don't understand why they promised at the beginning of the season that the champion of the regular part of the competition would play in the Euroleague, and then changed that decision. That's not correct," concluded Spasojević.
The finalists of the final four will be placed in the Euroleague, while the team defeated in the semi-finals, which was better ranked in the regular part of the competition, will play in the qualifiers.
The final four of the Adriatic League should take place from April 25 to 27, and Igokea will play Partizan, and Crvena zvezda will play Radnički.
