The final tournament of the Adriatic League in basketball will be held in Laktaši, said competition commissioner Josip Bilić, while general manager Roman Lisac said that nothing has been decided yet.
"I only know one thing, and that is that I received a paper that the final four will be held in Laktaši. President Radovan Lorbek proposed it to the board, the board accepted, and that's it," Bilić told the Beta agency.
Nevertheless, Lisac said that nothing is still known.
"Nothing has been decided yet, we will know for sure by the end of the week. My phone rings 1.000 times every day, everyone is asking the same thing," said Lisac.
He said that the information that Laktaši won the host match was "absolutely incorrect" and pointed out that he would most like Belgrade to host the final four, but that he did not know if that would be the case.
"I am absolutely in favor of Belgrade, that would be the most beautiful thing, but I don't know how it will turn out in the end," said Lisac.
After all, Igokea came forward and denied that she was going to organize the tournament.
"We haven't received anything official yet, I can't comment when we haven't received confirmation. Everything I know, I read in the media," said club president Boris Spasojević.
He pointed out that Igokei does not need to organize the final four, given that it is most likely that the first place in the regular part of the competition will secure a direct placement in the Euroleague.
"Why should we be the hosts? If we beat Krka, we will secure first place and placement in the Euroleague, so we don't need to incur the costs of the organization. That's my attitude, everything I do, I do in accordance with the Board of Directors. That's the logic of things." Spasojevic pointed out.
The final tournament of the Adriatic League will be played from April 25 to 27.
