"The Reds today, with an excellent game from the 18th to the 29th minute, defeated Georgia and took another step towards the set goal, which is placement in the A division.
Our representatives distributed the points well.
Aleksandar Novosel was the most effective with 16 points, Petar Popović scored 15, Aleksandar Dožić scored 12 with 10 rebounds, while Vasilije Knežević (nine caught balls) and Mihailo Radunović scored 10 each.
By the end of the first half, more precisely by the 18th minute, the game was tied.
The teams took turns in the lead, and then Montenegro, to put it simply, kicked into high gear, made a 29:28 run by the 2th minute and went from minus two (29:27) to plus 24 (55:31).
Then the match was definitely decided, and the last 10 minutes of Đorđi Pavićević's team performed routinely, for another convincing victory.
Tomorrow is a free day at the championship, and in the second phase, Montenegro meets the two first-placed teams from group D, namely Portugal and Hungary.
