Although at the end of the season, and the loss to Miami in the grand final, it seemed that Scott Brooks could not find a common language with the management of Oklahoma regarding the extension of the contract, things have changed.
Brooks got what he wanted, a four-year contract and a salary of four million dollars per season.
The deal between Brooks and Thunders general manager Sam Presti remains to be put on paper, after which the 46-year-old coach will sign a new contract.
Brooks has been on the Oklahoma bench since 2008, and was previously an assistant in Denver, Sacramento and Seattle.
As a player, he won a championship ring in 1994 as a member of Houston.
