Vlade Divac has chosen - the former coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, Luke Walton, will sit on the bench of the Sacramento Kings from next season.
Walton and Divac - who was recently re-elected as the Kings' general manager - held a meeting to discuss further cooperation and Walton's future in California. The conversation was successfully concluded, and it will be realized by signing a contract according to which the young coach will lead the team from California until the 2022/2023 season, which coincides with the year when Divac's contract expires.
Walton parted ways with the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. He will succeed Dave Jerger, who was fired, on Sacramento's bench
By the way, Divac and Walton played together in the Los Angeles Lakers in the Serbian basketball player's last professional season (2004/2005).
