Frank Vogel is the new coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Lakers were without a coach for a month after Luke Walton was fired.
Vogel is a former Indiana and Orlando coach.
Vogel played in the Eastern Conference finals twice in five seasons with Indiana and achieved 250 wins and 181 losses. That score ranks him first in success in the history of that franchise.
In two seasons in Orlando, he had 29 wins in his first season and 25 wins in his second season.
His first assistant will be Jason Kidd.
