Longtime Miami coach Erik Spoelstra will remain in that position until at least 2024.
The experienced strategist agreed to a four-year extension of cooperation with the NBA team, after he had one year left on his old contract.
Spolstra took over Miami's bench in 2008 and previously worked as an assistant to Pat Riley.
He is one of only three coaches who managed to reach four consecutive finals.
He won two championship rings with Miami. After Gregg Popovich, he is the second-longest tenured coach in the NBA right now.
