The sailor "blown away" Breša before the derby with Zvezda in Belgrade

Another great basketball night in Bar – Mornar convincingly defeated Brescia 95:76 in the match of the 3rd round of Group B of the Eurocup.

It is the second triumph of Mihail Pavićević's team, who also defeated Unikaha last week.

The way they achieved both victories shows that they are ready to leave their mark on the European scene and that their high ambitions in all competitions are justified.

Mornar played the first quarter in a spectacular rhythm - he led 14:0, and in the first 10 minutes the Rams won with a 20-point difference, 30:10.

They did not achieve such an advantage with long-range bursts, they hit "only" three three-pointers (out of nine attempts), but with fast play, counters and half-counters, with a shot for two points 9/12.

The maximum advantage was 21 points (37:16), and by halftime the home players had a stable supply, although the pace they imposed themselves dropped.

The crisis began in the third quarter, in which Mornar lost control in the attack, entered into a series of errors and misses, struggled to get points.

The home team scored only five in the first five and a half minutes, and Breša saw a chance. The Italians did not rush, as Unicaha did last week, but tried to gradually return to the game. Mornar quickly got out of the bonus, fouls were often committed at the beginning of the attack, the rhythm of the match slowed down, which the Rams wanted to avoid.

The guests reduced the difference to single digits (52:43... 60:52), only for Nidam, Jeremić and Vraneš to prevent them from getting close to the turnaround (66:52, two minutes before the end of the 3rd period) with important triples.

After repelling the opponent's attack in the second part of the third quarter, the Sailors' basketball players completely got rid of the pressure and settled the match at the beginning of the last part...

In the next round, in six days, Mornar is visiting the Metrpolitans team in Paris, but before that he has a big derby of the ABA league, against Crvena zvezda on Sunday in Belgrade.
