Russell Westbrook left Houston and continues his career in Washington.
It is a trade between these two clubs, and in exchange for Westbrook, Houston received John Wall and a future protected pick of the first round in the draft.
"Having the opportunity to bring in a player of Russell's caliber and character is something we couldn't pass up both at the current moment and in planning for the future of this team. With all that in mind, it wasn't easy to part with John Wall, one of the greatest players in franchise history." , Wizards general manager Tommy Shepard said.
In his NBA career, Westbrook averaged 23.2 points, 8.3 assists, 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game.
