Mornara basketball player Nemanja Vranješ will extend his contract with the team from Bar.
At the end of the season, after the departure of the internationals, Vranješ took responsibility and was the mainstay of the Sailors' game. However, in the second match of the final series of the championship of Montenegro, against Budućnost, he ruptured his hamstring, which is why he has a long recovery ahead of him, and, as the club said, a certain operation in Belgrade, after which he will extend his cooperation with the club.
"Nemanja is an old member of Mornar's family, he found himself in a difficult situation, but he also knows that the club is behind him. He is a great fighter, he proved it even in the final of the championship when he left his heart on the field. I am sure that they will come out of this situation victorious," said the president of Sailors, Đorđije Pavićević.
Pavićević also commented on the possible transfer of Lovro Gnjidić from CIbon. The basketball player wants to come to Bar, but everything depends on the club from Zagreb.
"We want Lovro to come to Mornar, we are convinced that he would progress here, it's even more important that he wants it too, but Cibona is the last one. We made an offer, we hope that our friends from Zagreb and Lovro will reach an agreement that will be in everyone's interest. Until then, we have to wait for an answer and hope that Cibona will meet Gnjidic's wishes," Pavićević concluded.
