NBA champion Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr says his affection for San Antonio Spurs benchmate Gregg Popovich goes beyond basketball.
As he said, Kerr considers Popovic a friend for whom he would be happy to vote if the legendary Pop ran for president of the USA.
"I would really vote for Pop. He would be a great president. All kidding aside, I would really vote for him. Honor and integrity, those would be two key components for any person who wants to be president. He would make it happen," Kerr says. , reports "Mercury News".
Kerr adds that Popovich possesses the very qualities that current President Donald Trump, whom both Kerr and Popovich criticize in public, lacks.
They do not agree with his rhetoric regarding LGBT rights, women and national minorities, as well as people with special needs.
