The Phoenix Suns will be without their first point guard until the playoffs, as Chris Paul has to take a break for two months due to a fractured thumb on his right hand.
He suffered the injury Wednesday when he hit Houston's JaShon Tate on the shoulder with his hand. He had an MRI a day later, and then still went to the All-Star game.
In Cleveland, he played two minutes in the 1st quarter for LeBron James' team, after which he was replaced and did not play again.
"I always want to play, but when I felt pain in my hand I was angry. We will try to fix it as quickly as possible. I guarantee you that I will be able to play," said CP3 in a conversation with journalists.
Paul played all 58 games for the Suns this season and averaged 14,9 points and 4,5 rebounds, and with 10,7 assists he is the NBA leader.
