The Minister of Sports and Youth, Vasilije Lalošević, today received the president of the Basketball Association of Montenegro (KSCG), Nikola Peković, general secretary Darko Ivanović and national team director Filip Patković.
The Ministry announced that the reason for the discussion was the program obligations of the Basketball Association of Montenegro in 2022 and the improvement of cooperation between the Ministry and this sports organization in the part related to the realization of public interest in the sports field.
"Minister Lalošević pointed out that even as the acting director of the Directorate for Sports and Youth, he had excellent cooperation with the Basketball Association of Montenegro, and that is why he is convinced that it will be the same in the future," the Ministry announced.
KSCG President Nikola Peković thanked Minister Lalošević for the reception and "pointed out that it is good for both basketball and sports in Montenegro that the Ministry of Sports and Youth was formed and that he was chosen as the minister, firmly convinced that in the coming period the cooperation of the Ministry and KSCG to be at the highest level."
"The interlocutors also looked at the insufficient financial resources allocated to the Basketball Association by the previous authority, in which context Lalošević concluded that fairness in sport is something that should be strived for jointly, and that can only be achieved with close cooperation and that it is important to understand the needs and the obligations of sports organizations and work exclusively for the benefit of athletes and sports workers," the Ministry's announcement reads.
