Barcokas: We play for our city, we have to enjoy it; Ataman: The season was difficult, we are motivated

The best coach of the Euroleague this season, Jorgos Barcokas from Olympiakos, said today that his team should concentrate on their own qualities before the match with Efes, in the semi-finals of the final four of the Euroleague in Belgrade.

"We have to focus on ourselves, we have to play with confidence, for our city, for our club to enjoy this moment," said Barcokas, who was presented with the "Aleksandar Gomeljski" award today.

In Belgrade, before the start of the final four, a joint media conference of the participating coaches and players was held.

The opponent of the Athens team in tomorrow's semi-final (18.00) will be the current club European champions from Istanbul.

"It was a difficult season, after we won the title last year. We didn't start well and we only got into the routine in the second part... Of course we come motivated to the final four," said Efes coach Ergin Ataman.

Efes eliminated Milan 3:1 in the quarter-final series, while Olympiakos eliminated Monaco after the fifth game.

The Final Four of the Euroleague is played in the Belgrade Arena. The semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, and the final and third place match on Saturday.
