Podgorica's basketball players, after a mini-break, are back together starting today, the club announced.
Coach Nebojša Bogavac, with his professional staff, gathered a group of younger players, i.e. juniors, among whom were the first team players from last season Vladan Kaluđerović, Marko Kljajević and Andrej Vulević.
Bogavac said that the coaching staff decided to gather mostly younger players in the period of 15 days before the break, who imposed themselves and received an invitation to the junior national team.
"That's why we decided to have a lot of basketball, but also motivational training for those younger players, because they are also part of the story of the first team. It is planned that from June 25 to July 1 we will have open days, where certain players from Montenegro will come Gore and the region to try to impose themselves and through that test we might see something that can be interesting for us," said Bogavac for the club's website.
In the middle of August, official preparations for the next season begin, where Podgorica, as announced by the club, will have the same vision.
"More or less, it will be the same ambitions, where we will have a young team in which there will be one or two players from our younger selections. A break is planned from July 1 to August 15, when I hope we will be complete, that is, from on the first day of preparation, have a team that should justify the goals set by the club. During the break, we expect negotiations, we have certain names that are interesting to us, but it remains to be seen what will happen. I certainly expect four to five players to be signed," Bogavac said. .
The Bogavac coaching staff includes Dragan Radović, Vladan Vuković, Nikola Bulatović, Nemanja Marković and Stefan Lutovac.
