Rapid from Bucharest has officially announced that the Montenegrin national team player and former Buducnost Volija center Filip Barović (31) will continue his career in that Romanian club.
Barović arrives in Rapid as a free agent, because his contract with the Blues has expired.
Last season in the ABA league, he averaged 12.5 points and 4.4 rebounds in 2.5 minutes on the court, while in the Eurocup, he averaged 12 points and 2.5 rebounds in almost 2.3 minutes.
During his career, Barović played for Budućnost, Mornar, Bonn, Sopron, Kečkemet, Akademik iz Sofia, Student Center.
With the Budućnost Volija team, he won the ABA league, while he reached the title of Montenegrin champion three times and the same number of trophies in the Cup.
Rapid finished seventh in the league last season and was then eliminated in the first round of the knockout stage by Oradea.
"Vijesti" announced a few days ago that the experienced center will move to a club from the capital of Romania.
