The G-unit team also celebrated in the second tournament 3x3 Montenegro 2K22, while the TMN trio won the tournament in the girls competition. Competitions in shooting throws and three-pointers for younger categories were also held.
Marko Mijović, Miloš Milošević, Marko Dabanović and Aleksa Vujadinović won the competition in Pljevlja, which was organized for the third year in a row in cooperation with the Municipality of Pljevlja, called "Throw the drugs in the basket". The tournament was marked by a two-day program, on Friday and Saturday, and on the first day, the TMN trio won the tournament in the girls' competition.
Just like last year at the traditional basketball competition in Pljevlja, the ladies also showed their skills - the best were the members of the TMN trio Tara Vulović, Maša Bujišić and Nađa Čabarkapa, who in an interesting final beat the defending champion, MM market, with a score of 18:14. Two other teams, Space Jam and Swish, participated in the tournament in the women's competition.
The day of basketball at Trg Đorđija Peruničić was also marked by individual competitions for younger people. Miloš Tanović and Darija Tomović were the best in three-point shooting, while Denis Čakar and Tijana Čelebić were the best in free throw shooting.
"The main event on Saturday was not prevented by the storm, and most of the tournament, due to the rain, took place in the sports hall of Elementary School "Salko Aljković". Due to the great interest, qualification matches were also played in Pljevlja, and the place in the main draw was won by the teams Hotel Diatreta and "Frulaši. The two best teams from the four groups each played in the knockout phase, and in addition to the first two holders, Kodio and G-unit, the Pljeval team 4SOBE as well as the UFO team made it to the semi-finals," the organizers announced.
Kodio, with 21:12 in the duel with 4SOBE, and G-unit with a 21:9 victory over NLO, justified their role as favorites and scheduled the expected final, which was uncertain until the very end. The game was played point by point, and with the result 15:14, two doubles and a goal for one point by the best player in Pljevlja, Marko Mijović, and the final victory of G-unit 21:16. The team from Bar, by winning the fourth tournament in a row, after victories in Skopje, Zeta and Foča, confirmed that it is in great shape.
"I am glad that we participated in the tournament in Pljevlja, since last year we did not have the opportunity to perform. Unfortunately, due to the rain, the tournament had to be moved to the hall, but regardless of those circumstances, there was a lot of audience, the matches were followed to the maximum and everything was organized at a high level. Of course, I'm happy that we won first place, there were many good teams, and I'm especially happy that there were a lot of teams from Pljevlja. I hope that they will continue with the competition in other cities of Montenegro," said G-unit member Marko Dabanović.
G-unit will have the opportunity to prove itself once again on Tuesday, August 2, right in Bar, at the next 3x3 Montenegro 2K22 tournament, the fourth international one at the King Nikola Promenade, whose prize fund is 3.000 euros.
