Surprise in SC Derby - Duško Vujošević, the legendary coach of Partizan, will perform the function of professional consultant in the club from Podgorica.
"One of the biggest basketball coaches in Europe, a man whose middle name is the ABA League, is returning to his hometown with a mission to take "students from studies to doctorates," says SC Derby.
Vujošević is the first coach of the Montenegrin national team.
With Partizan he won 22 trophies, in 2010 he also participated in the final four of the Euroleague...
"I decided to contribute to the work of SC Derby as an expert consultant. I have the delicate task of helping coaches when it comes to selection and development from the younger categories, to the particularly challenging period of transition from junior to senior and to achieve results in the younger categories by playing with players who they have a perspective," Vujošević said and added:
"The club has such a program of "creating" players, and that has been my specialty in my work so far. SC Derbi has adequate conditions to realize its ambitions. I accepted the invitation and after a one-year break I am returning to basketball, in the capacity in which I health condition allows. I hope that we will be mutually satisfied with this cooperation," said Vujošević.
"We want to create the best professional team for the development of young players, and Duško Vujošević is someone whose name and reputation guarantee that. Vujošević is synonymous with success," said the sports director of the "students" Đuro Ostojić.
