The two games of Sunday's NBA League program started in the City of Angels just six and a half hours apart, both of which were mourned by the home team.
First, the LA Lakers suffered their third loss in as many games, and they were ruled by Jerami Grant, who scored three seconds before the end for Portland's victory (106:104).
LeBron James tried to bring overtime, but he missed.
Damian Lillard was also a hero, who was the most effective player of the match with 41 points, including a three-pointer for a turnaround with 12,4 seconds left, which led the Blazers to complete an 8-0 run to turn around at 104-102.
King tied the game with his 31st point (he also had eight rebounds and an assist), but Grant gave the Oregon team their third win of the season.
In the "Staples Center", which has a new name since last December - "Crypto.com arena", the LA Clippers fell much easier, who helplessly watched the show by Devin Booker (35 points) and Phoenix (95:112).
The most exciting match was played in Louisiana, where Utah defeated New Orleans 122:121 after overtime. Jordan Clarkson gave the Jazz a five-minute extra with a three-pointer, and Kelly Olynyk won with a layup three seconds before the end.
To make matters worse for the Pelicans, they lost two important players - Brandon Ingram suffered a concussion already in the 1st quarter, and Zion Williamson had an ugly fall after Clarkson's ramp and injured his hip eight minutes before the end of regulation.
