The sailor is weak, Partizan "blocked" Rasel and won "Topolica"

Basketball festival in Bar, full of "Topolica" and the result that could be expected - in the derby of the 4th round of the AdmiralBet ABA League, Mornar could not oppose Partizan, who completely stopped Deron Fets Russell and reached a convincing victory (83: 62).

At the beginning of the game, Mihailo Pavićević tried to make up for the lack of height and strength in the defense with the 2-3 zone, but it was obvious that Russell was not doing very well, because he had not played it during his career.

It was precisely this fact that the "black and white" punished brilliantly and already in the 6th minute they reached a double-digit advantage (19:9), with three three-pointers by Zek Ledej and two by James Nunelli.

On the other hand, Željko Obradović decided to double the best scorer of the ABA league very often, which led to problems in the organization of the Baran game, but also to the fact that in one attack they had as many as four offensive rebounds due to the surplus in the racket.

In addition, the three-point shot, which Pavićević's team "lives on", was desperate - in the 1st quarter, the home team missed all seven shots from behind the 6,75 line (Russell three, Vladimir Mihailović two, Marko Pecarski and Nemanja Vranješ one each ), while the Belgraders shot 10-6 from the same distance, so minus seven at the break (17:24) was more than acceptable.

Mihailović was once again inaccurate, before Petar Vujačić finally broke his team's goalie and in the 12th minute, Mornar was already "alive", because he came close to 22:24, i.e. concluded the series 13:3.

Then, however, the "black and white" strengthened their defense, the home team did not score a basket for six and a half minutes, so they went to minus 14 (22:36), and at halftime there was even a 19 difference (27:46).

The numbers show how much Russell was "stuck" - for three he shot 3-0, for two 6-2, throws 7-5, and during his 16 minutes on the field, Partizan gave 28 points more than Mornar.

At the start of the 2nd half, Mihailović entered the list of scorers, quickly tied seven points, and Mornar came to 37:49.

The people of Belgrade again went to 18 differences (59:41), but the Montenegrin national team member continued the streak, made two three-pointers, i.e. 17 of his team's 20 points in the 3rd quarter in 47:59.

That, however, was all. Partizan soon returned a record plus 20 (69:49), and in the 38th minute had a 22 difference (79:57).

In the last four minutes, Obradović gave a chance to the young representative of Montenegro, Đorđi Jovanović, and the final 106 seconds were played by the Mariner defender Luka Kovačević, who at 15 years, five months and 16 days became the second youngest player in the history of the ABA league.

Unfortunately, he missed his only shot, and he was close to putting the ball through the hoop...

Mihailović and Pecarski were by far the best in the home team with 19 points each, while the visitors were led by Ledej with 18 points and only one miss (4-4 for three, 4-3 for two) and Danilo Andušić with 16.

Obradović tried to raise the morale of captain Kevin Pantera, who is in a shooting crisis, but he only deepened it, because he missed all 10 shots in "Topolica"!
