After the victory in the Czech Republic, Boško Radović's team is in a good situation and with 15 points occupies the third position, the last leading to Mundobasket. The match with the Lithuanians will not solve anything, but our team hopes that with the help of the audience, they can achieve another good result.
Entrance to "Morača" is free, and the gates will be opened two hours before the start.
"After one victory in a very important and difficult game, Lithuania is coming to us. It was an important match for the Czech Republic to stay in the race for the World Cup, and for us to sleep peacefully. It was a very exhausting match, especially physically, as we expected. After that, a 16-hour trip from Pardubice. Some fatigue has accumulated in both the players and the coaching staff. That is why it is most important that we rest today, do recovery training and prepare everything as much as possible for the match against Lithuania," said coach Boško Radović.
Kendrick Perry's performance is questionable due to a back injury. The medical team is doing everything to make the Unikaha basketball player fit for the game.
"Peri's performance is still uncertain. He has a back injury, and great efforts are being made to get fit for the match," explained Radović.
However, Montenegro will be stronger in the position of playmaker for Nikola Ivanovic, who will join the selection.
"Nikola Ivanovic will join the training tonight and will be available for tomorrow's game. We still don't know what will happen to Kendrick Perry. Our physical therapist and doctor worked through the night to get him fit. We will see by tonight, at training, his exact condition and whether he will be able to help," said Radović.
Radović points out that the Lithuanians are favorites for any team to come.
"In any case, we are going into one game with the favored team of Lithuania. I would not agree that they suffered a debacle from France, it was a match between two super talented teams in which the French did not miss a shot and that is the reason for the high difference at the end. The Lithuanians in any formation are favorites, so this is a great opportunity to play a good game, to give our maximum and try to surprise them."
With a triumph, Montenegro would be close to qualifying for the Mundobasket.
"Neither with a victory, nor, God forbid, with a defeat, we won't solve anything, everything remains for that last window that will decide. We don't do a lot of calculations, but it depends on tomorrow's match whether both matches or just one will be important for us in the end. Let's go game by game. We are not relieved, there is always that dose of desire to win the game, in front of our audience, because we have had serious support all these years. I hope it will be the same tomorrow evening. A serious game awaits us, against a serious team," concluded Radović.
